Heli skiing with expert coaching in paradise, on some of the most stunning terrain in the world. Based around Wanaka in the South Island of New Zealand our heliskiing trips offer a rare opportunity to ski with Chris Fecher for the duration of the trip. Chris guides and coach's you in small matched ability groups, skiing terrain to firstly match your ability. Where he will hone your skills and teach you the art of freeride skiing. Learn how to read the terrain and have a better understanding of the movements and sensations associated with freeskiing.

The terrain options are endless, from easy powder slopes like blue and red runs that stretch on forever to long more technical and steep slopes to challenge the strongest heliski veteran.

Trip Itinerary.   

Day one: Arrive at Christchurch airport, pick up transfer to Wanaka or Queenstown airport. Arrive in resort check in to accommodation, meet the team. Get some sleep!

A typical heliskiing day: Morning meeting and mountain safety briefing travel to helicopter base. Helicopter safety checks. Morning heli skiing followed by gourmet picnic lunch on the mountain. Afternoon skiing session and coaching. After skiing hot tub and drinks followed by video analysis and dinner.

If we don't fly: We go skiing at one of the local Wanaka ski resorts, or try a million and one other extreme activities like bungee jumping, jet boating, climbing, fly by wire the list goes on.

Accommodation: We have a couple of accommodation options depending on your demands and needs. First of all is Whare kea Lodge and chalet.

Whare kea lodge an exclusive lodge perched on the shore of lake Wanaka. Stunning views only matched by the level of service and the sumptuous menu. A luxury option for those who enjoy their creature comforts. The helicopter has permission to operate from the lawn too!
