Sarah and I had a fantastic time here in Wanaka, this season. The snow has been just fantastic. Mainly skiing close to Wanaka, at Treble Cone and Cardrona resorts. The local heli skiing has enjoyed a fantastic winter; we skied with Tekapo helicopters on the Ben Oahu range near Mount Cook, Back Country Heli's and Harris Mountain Heli's near Wanaka. The Ben Oahu range has really incredible terrain. Defiantly well worth considering for future heli ski trips. The service, pilot and guides where just superb.

Back Country Heli's have some of the most spectacular terrain in the area. I guided a seven run day for a group of ten clients in August and it was just one of those amazing NZ days. The sky was the most spectacular blue the snow was perfect, we got to play in helicopters too what more could you want. Oh! We took the jet boat back to base!

Harris mountain heli's took us deep into the wilderness of Mt Aspiring national park yesterday. Spring skiing at its very best.

The scenery in and around Wanaka is simply stunning, it sometimes takes a few seconds to take it all in.

We consider the safety aspect of the courses as a huge priority, whether on our freeride skiing camp or backcountry skiing week you can expect to come away having learnt some of the essential skills needed to safely access and challenge the mountains.

Freeskiing for me in a nutshell is Freedom; there is no better place to explore than the Chamonix Valley.
